1. A city that's as unique as it is beautiful, with its intricate canals, stunning architecture, and rich cultural heritage

Venice, the capital of northern Italy’s Veneto region, is built on more than 100 small islands in a lagoon in the Adriatic Sea. It has no roads, just canals – including the Grand Canal thoroughfare – lined with Renaissance and Gothic palaces. The central square, Piazza San Marco, contains St. Mark’s Basilica, which is tiled with Byzantine mosaics, and the Campanile bell tower offering views of the city’s red roofs

11. Would you take a dip? A destination you can't miss while at Egypt

A few tips for your next visit to the salt lakes: (save for later)

1. Bring plenty of water to rinse yourself as there are no showers and you’ll need to wash the salt off your body

2. Do NOT dive, jump, or even get water on your face

3. The water is freezing even in warmer months so make sure to visit early in the day

4. Bring a towel, flip-flops, extra clothes, and wear your swimsuit beforehand

5. Do not skip this experience! No need to worry if you can’t swim, the salt density makes it impossible to drown

14. Don’t make the mistake not to add Siwa Oasis to your 2023 bucket-list

[SAVE THIS POST for your future travel to Egypt]

Siwa Oasis is a hidden gem destination in located in the Western Desert Egypt 🇪🇬. It is NOT the same as the experience you’ll have in Cairo

It’s a much relaxing & a slower pace destination to visit in Egypt in comparison to the buzzing city of Cairo

I would recommend a 2/3 night stay in Siwa

Rent a local tuk tuk driver for the day or rent a bicycle to explore the town

DO NOT leave Siwa Oasis without visiting the salt lakes as this will be one of your many highlights

Grab a drink & catch the next sunset in Siwa
