If you find yourself in Norway from June 20th to August 20th, don’t miss the chance to visit this breathtaking waterfall! 🏞

The hike is short, slightly steep, and manageable, offering the ultimate reward: the tallest free-falling waterfall in Northern Europe, standing at 655m with a 297m free fall.

The trail consists mostly of gravel road, with some rocky sections toward the end leading to the waterfall. Make sure to wear sturdy shoes and bring rain gear for a close-up experience! ☔️

For an even more spectacular view, you can hike to the top of the waterfall, where you’ll witness the stunning sight of Eikesdalsvannet and the water cascading from the mountain into Mardalsfossen. Who’s up for joining me this summer? 🙌🏼

The trail to the base of the waterfall begins at the Mardalen parking lot (parking fee: 40 NOK).
